I guess when you are in love-the words just seem to jump on the paper. When you lose the love of your life, they seem to retreat! I read the Board faithfully each day but cant find the words to say what is in my heart. To all of you: Your words are all so fantastic-many have kept me going! Thank you all.

CryingShame~ ooooohh, I love Santana. Dancing to him live was my second inspiration (right after my baby) for: THE WORKS ... You can rock the house (or car) with music any time as far as I am concerned. My piano teacher used to get upset with me that I'd play the assigned Borodin's Polovetian Dances from Prince Igor, but would mouth the words to the movie theme of Stranger In Paradise as I played -- poor spinster. Pam, I'm ready for lyrics any ole time. Making up our own words to songs used to be a popular game on road trips. Thanks for jogging that memory ..... Rennie
Ful- Welcome to the blender. You might want to put you post your poems individually instead of all at the same time...I read your work, and I liked most of what I read. I realized I had seen some of it other places...like "You kissed me goodnight", "10 things I hate about you" and "die for love"..maybe you should put the authors name. Just trying to help!
Jim: Thanks, but I think you were misunderstanding my message! Are you posting works with every other work mis-spelled? Are you using the Blender to kill time between geometry and spanish? I think not. I was making a point that it is becoming annoying with so much stuff here that lacks heart. Your posts do not lack heart and intent. So, if you felt as though I was addressing you - I am very sorry. I was just venting; selfishly spewing my own anger. Sorry.
CryingShame~ LOL, you'd rewrite that for unknown someone IF you had my Schipperke, the Haiku Pup. He thinks the couch is a giant plush toy the last three years, and is still trying to sneak and enjoy it when I'm not looking. I've had cats. Well, that's not correct according to my vet. To those into self-mutilation and cutting themselves: I've enjoyed Blender for a number of years. Often, I see new poets who have great talent emerging here. However, lately I've noticed that this site has become a haven for those who are into something that should be posted and discussed on other sites and forums. I don't have anything to do with running this website, but I do like to read it. We all enjoy pushing the edge of the envelope here, but this has become something very personally upsetting to me as I read these posting about "cutting" and "bleeding" for this reason: I've had cancer and been so ill that I've had to have transfusions. Those of you who decide to cut yourself run the risk of death or of having to have transfusions. Think hard on this, because IF you have to have transfusions you run the risk of being exposed to HIV, AIDS, hepatitis and many other infections that are chronic or deadly. You limit your future partners if infected. I would not wish this on anyone, but I've lived it (thanksfully uninfected) and I don't see evidence of any of you thinking on this point in your posts. Get real and get help, that's my best advice. I'm going to quit reading the posters who write this stuff for my own good. I may miss something new where one of you turns a corner and comes up with something really good in poetic lines. Those of you know who you are. If you do post something without this "bleeding" "cutting" "death" theme, then please let us know on the board that you've turned a corner to something better. No person is immune to problems or perfect in this life, but this is a website dedicated to romance and love poetry, not an exercise in abnormal psychology. As B.K. said, please get help; I agree if this is the case in how you handle romance or love. I am guilty of posting often, as Rhetty states, but I do try to post something of substance and not something to worry those already posting and reading at Blender over the years. I don't care to offend anyone here, but I am pushed to the point of making some statement on these posts. These posts are so rough in some parts that if we were teachers or law enforcement officials, we'd be required to follow this up. Please stop, and post something that isn't about controlling others, which this cutting is ... and I am qualified to make that statement, so I'll speak out on it and give my apologies to Kirk and the others for the feedback and probable backlash for it ..... Rennie-- I agree, and Amen. There are some messed up people here that thrive off of getting attention. Carol, (who I do believe is sincere) started writing about her painful situation, and others here have picked up on it and started a sickening fad. I was diagnosed with Lupus at the age of 13, spending two years sick before they could put a name to it, and I also know from experience that it's no fun to be sick and have no control over it. Why would some sick asshole fake symptoms to get some one to pay attention to their poetry?

Rhetty-- I totally agree with you also. There is a group of teenage gossip that need to go somewhere else until they complete puberty. If you haven't noticed, the little circle I'm refering to is basically coming up with different account names and complimenting or bashing each other's work. I believe that this is a stupid game to them and that one person in particular gets on the board and argues with herself and critiques her own work!! Get real people!! You wanted attention and you got it. YAY FOR YOU!! Now come back when you complete puberty. I'm starting to get very irritated at some people and I don't want to get hate mail for naming names, but Lord have Mercy!!! Give it a rest. Age doesn't matter at the Blender, but your maturity level does.

I thought I was the only one who was getting to a stage where I just couldn't take it and didn't even bother reading those submissions. It is rather tedious and irritating, especially when the bashing happens regularly on the board and when you know it's the same few people having a personal tiff out there in our faces, again and again and again.

Haven't been paying much attention to the board lately, and haven't read the new submissions 'til this weekend. Is most of the obnoxiousness in sumbissions or the comment board? If the former, keep in mind that offtopic poems will be summarily deleted. And, the more I sense a common theme or mission in those poems, the harsher I'm likely to be.

Yeah, I'm tired of the 'cutters club' and the highschool drama here too. It's been keeping me silent, because I feel the same as whoever else it was (Rennie? Rhet?) that said they didn't want to post their work amid the shit that's stinking out there (that's MY wording on it!). There are other sites these people can post to. So I too have only been reading the familiar names (and giving the new names a chance) and I am ignoring the known names (and works) of the dramatists and the bleeders. Call me callous, but I understand where my own circle of influence is and am very aware that I can't save the world, nor stop a person from harming themselves by typing "Oh! Please stop! I care!" These people know how to get help. Nobody is a victim unless they choose to be. Nuff said. Back to ignoring.

Jim ~ Although your "Sangria" referred to 'cutting', it was in the context of a love (and love lost). As well, it was tastefully done and did not glorify the dysfunctional behavior nor did it serve as a blatant call for attention. Yours was true poetry, in keeping with the theme at the Blender, where the others (in MY opinion) were NOT.
