Leamus - I found your PS very interesting. I actually went back and read a fair bit of what I have written in the past because of it. The fact is, I am a selfish poet, I write about my feelings, therefore, my poetry could be said to be self-centered. I was actually quite pleasantly surprised by a lot of what I have written. Your thought about complacency did hold a note of truth for me... sometimes I do see that I could have put more of a cohesive effort into some works, but they are as they are. I do enjoy looking through the poetic periscope at other poets and I believe that interpretation is individual at any rate, we all relate what we read to and through our own experiences... life is a journey and poetry is life... just thoughts.
Chances; I'll second the notion. Leamas complains a lot about the place but something here keeps him and everybody else coming back in to read. Don't let them bully you for a second. Write between your head and your heart and it will never be wrong. Love and Romance is what this place is about. Your work is wonderful as it is and your front pages bear witness to it.(I hate critics ha, but what the hey, they are noticing you good or bad. It's still attention ha.)
