Star of David & Muryan - I have read most of Anne Rice's books at one point or another... have to say I like her earlier works more than her later ones.

cryingshame58...<BR>
Thanks for that link, very cool.<BR>
<BR>
It hit me that technically, the romance-connection was really kinda forced...on the other hand, I've never minded a bit of transgression and off-topicness...so I thought about what makes me mind some digressions and not others.<BR>
<BR>
I "didn't midn" that link because:<BR>
A. It didn't have an "agenda". Nothing puts me off more than offtopic stuff w/ a politlca, religous, or personal vendetta agenda.<BR>
<BR>
B. It was short! Always a plus. Brevity excuses some evils.<BR>
<BR>
C. It was interesting.<BR>
<BR>
So as long as those 3 criteria are met, I won't get cranky w/ almost any offtopic bit. <BR>
<BR>
Anyway, I'll put up the link and credit the source at <a href="http://kirael.com">http://kirael.com</a> today.

I was just reading some of your old submissions and I really liked <a href="/blend/wv.cgi?id=2003.07.05.16.15.20829">Better than pretence</a><BR>
The last line "It's a lonely life but I ain't breaking someones heart" is great.

Star of David.. your comments are always appreciated.Better than Pretence was written after a phone call from someone I love dearly as a friend who wanted me to visit but as more than just a friend if you know what I mean.To do this I would have to pretend,so sadly the friendship will have to remain long distance.Such is life I guess.Thanks for taking the time to backread my stuff.

Kirk... occasionally I dive into KHftCEA for some treasures.<BR>
For the uninitiated its on the Kisrael link.Went way back to find " Come sit me to sleep " No further comment required on that.For those who haven,t ventured into Kisrael,please do so its like venturing into your grandparents attic, just full of stuff you will find that makes your eyes sparkle like xmas morning.

Thanks for the plug about <a href="http://kisrael.com/">http://kisrael.com/</a> . I really do take pride in trying to make an interesting site every day. In many ways it's a much more personal project than loveblender, which is obviously a group effort, not just one guy.<BR>
<BR>
KHftCEA (Kirk's Home for the Chronically Easily Amused, <a href="http://kisrael.com/khftcea/">http://kisrael.com/khftcea/</a> ) is kind of interesting. I kept it on my PalmPilot from March 1997 'til January '01, when I started the daily updates of kisrael.com. I stopped it because there was too much overlap with kisrael, but, you know, something is lost. The KHftCEA wasn't originally meant for public consumption, and I tended to write more little prose bits ("Sit Me To Sleep", <a href="http://kisrael.com/khftcea/015.html">http://kisrael.com/khftcea/015.html</a> , also made it to the blender, <a href="http://loveblender.com/1997december/sleep.html">http://loveblender.com/1997december/sleep.html</a> )<BR>
<BR>
Man. That was a long time ago, come to think about. 5 1/2 years! <BR>
