iwan - witty rant above, enjoyed that. I don't agree with your assessment of Michael Moore (also above) but the fahrenheit_fact blog is definitely worth a look. Moore would have done better to be less polemical; it reduces the credibility of the points he makes that ARE legitimate. But then, he wasn't making a documentary -- he was making a point :)

B.K. - Love Bytes is a good piece, thanks for sharing it (and to Rennie for writing it). I agree with her assessment of the interplay here on the Board (go argument! go passion!! go civilized debate!!!) and firmly second her on the value of strong opinions and the exchange thereof. If part of romance is passion (and it is), we've certainly seen a lot of there here lately!

Threats? Add me to the list of threats to our national security, I suspose. Last time I checked pal, America was a democracy, not a Communist country. This means that ANYONE is free is have and voice opinions, even if they don't agree with yours. I personally saw Mr. Moore's film Wed. and thought it was great. I find him very intelligent and admire the fact the he backs up his facts. I personally will not vote for Bush this time, and I didn't last time. Even if no one else runs for office that has the same exact values I do, I wouldn't waste a vote on Bush if my life depended on it.
