At the risk of waking up you-know-who and opening up another political discussion, I couldn't help but wonder at the timing of this latest terror alert. Coming on the heels of the Democratic convention. It sure took John Kerry off the airwaves, didn't it? :>) Hmmmm....
You know who is only worried about one thing. Protecting his tax chunk. I understand it's over 100,000 for every million. Anyone professing to have a conscience, that votes for that (I erased what I just wrote so use your vivid imagination there) is either IGNORANT or just like him. These people are not CONSERVATIVE. Four more years of them will bring the world down on top of us.

I actually read through everything last weekend but didn't quite get around to assembling the issue. (Technically I'm not late on the schedule, since the issue is due after the first full weekend...but still.) Anyway, I guess there's some weird poetic whatever in making an issue of the love blender on the day by divorce is final...

My divorce was final April 15, a taxing day to say the least.
I don't remember the date my divorce became final. Sometime in April. It was quick and relatively painless.
Well, it gives me a "hook" to write about in the intro...better than writing about the weather which is like my default.
Misti...I dunno. Not to sound assish, especially because I haven't made a point of studying the details of what happened with you all, but I think the one walking away is likelier to have easier time of it than the one walked away from...

I know. But even though I left Chris for my boyfriend, I did mourn the demise of our union. And Chris is engaged to be married. And I'm not.
In respect to all who have commented;...It still hurts as Kirk will discover, there's that particular song, that cliche in a film, that...whatever...it WILL hurt...but that's why were here!!!!

SORRY TANQ, WE'RE IS WOT I MEANT
I've always been open at this site, in my poems and on the Board. Anyone who has read my poems knows that I was miserable in my marriage and so was Chris. We are both better off now. Again...Chris is engaged to be married and I am struggling because I left my boyfriend to make some changes in my life. It took my leaving Chris for him to find a woman he is extremely compatible with. I guarantee you he is grateful that I left.

Re: regardless -- there's a Missy Eliiot line in "The Rain" that's like "I'll break up with him before he dumps me"...I dunno, there's something sad but strong in her delivery of that...also its use of "Can't Stand The Rain" is really terrific.
I'm not old enough to be divorced for 11 years, and yet here I am... my only comfort is that when my ex-husband went to try to get the marriage annuled so he could marry his pseudo-Catholic ex-mistress-now-fiancée, it was denied, even though we had no children.
