Like Chris, with all stories are true, abogada, you've found a style that becomes you. Hopefully, you will find a good man who becomes you. We're heading south soon and will be hitting some Waffle Houses your direction since they are giving us free stuff for having a waffle Thanksgiving when we decided it wasn't worth it for the long lines for turkey elsewhere. We got in and out quickly enough to still have time to take a lovely drive all around a beautiful lake and enjoy the colors. Like (((you))), chris and so many others here, we breathe and see nature's bounty a bit more clearly while contemplating love ...... Rennie

no white flag, about Christmas memorys:
"why are you waiting?" is something that really speaks to me as I've written it elsewhere. I can relate. Also, I lost my only child, a son, at Christmas. A father at Thanksgiving ... et cetera, etc., but my someone who's also borne such losses still jumps in to make Christmas a joyous time for me, so I went way out of my way yesterday to make sure he got to see one of the last local Christmas parades available since he had too bad a cold when the earlier ones were held. The smile he kept on his face the rest of the day made the rush to get there and surprise him with that parade worth every whiteknuckle heartbeat getting there. Tossled hair and smile on his face as he still sleeps this morning, makes me think it's all been worth getting to this point. I hope it's the same for you ...... Rennie

CS58 and Chris: Thanks for the kind words on my work! I had been getting a bit too shy to post on here, so you made me feel better about it (Yes, the outgoing lawyer is actually a shy little passionate poet--don't tell the Bar Association!!)

Rennie: Your insights are always like guiding stars. There is a giant Waffle House in front of my apartment, but I still haven't made the trip--I plan to try "grits" there, though--on a braver day, perhaps!! I am indeed humbled to be even mentioned in the same paragraph as a writer like Chris. His lines are just magic! I'm working on the special guy thing (that sweet Georgia boy came back after all) --Keep your fingers crossed for me, girl! :)

Rens; It's good to see you so happy. Me, it's just a little cold that's making me crazy. (I hate to be sick) But they never last long. All is well otherwise. You and the Captain be careful in your travels.

Abogadalbny; Good god don't try grits at Waffle House. Go to Cracker Barrell and get the smokehouse breakfast with eggs bacon or sausage and biscuits and gravy and it comes with a bowl of grits. So you put butter and then salt and take bites in between having a good breakfast.
