There are some new security measures. If you're having trouble posting and you don't think you're one of the jerks, drop me an e-mail or an AIM msg at kirkjerk.

You know, this has been a bit of a suckass day. Between Mo getting laid off (that makes two of us, at the moment) and this unprecedented crap flood, I could just bite something.

Oh My God...I had TOTALLY forgotten about those books. I read a few...but never really got into them. It was like torture reading how perfect they were...so I didn't. I was always a dork...I read what my teachers told me to! How sad.
Check out your knowledge of the Kanawha Valley! I must say that I am impressed that anyone who isn't bound to this place by blood or love would have heard of it!
Have a great day everyone - here it is almost 9 and I am still not even in the shower yet! I better watch it or I will have to join that support group.
I finally found a job, after a month of searching. I was picky, though. I didn't want to work at AOL or any of the fast food joints. And Pussycats was out of the question.
I don't know what's wrong with me. Since December when I found some original SVH books in New York I've been collecting them like mad. I read them and get depressed. But sometimes I laugh out loud 'cause they're so ridiculous! Yes...I admit that I am 29 and still buy and read Sweet Valley High books. But I'm reading the "Pulp Fiction" screenplay, too, so that kinda balances it out. Ha! Who did you think was hotter- Bruce Patman (my personal favorite) or Todd Wilkins?
;-)

Misti- Yes!!! SVH absolutely rocked my world back in the day...I would have taken Bruce myself, Todd just was plain vanilla all the time. Did you ever read any of the super Double Sagas they put out toward the end of the series. Its twice as much drama for your buck!!! I may run down to the library and embarass myself by checking out one or two...

Hey and I can't remember who (Rhet??? maybe???) but I had noticed some WV related banter a few days back and references to our own Dancing Outlaw. Could there be some more Mountaineers here?

Now off to actually read some subs...
Misti...collecting them is cool, I think. Nostalgia has always been theraputic to me. I have a secret teen-based TV show that I am TOO embarrassed to admit to following (addiction maybe)! It is not written for the 27 year old in me...but to each of us there are vices!

Oh and Kirk- I was just thinking since you can like...lock people out of their accounts and all that...is there anyway you could CHANGE a username and keep an account active. And this is very selfish and pesky of me because I just want to be "Megs" (which is who I have always been) but I messed up and forgot the password to that one and had to make up a new handle.
Megs...regret defined is beautiful. I am a big last line fan...I always remember last lines, rarely first lines, and your last 2 lines are so full of truth. I know the feeling sometimes. Funny that you live in Motown and go to WVU - I work for WVU! Now, is that ever freaky!!!!!
I love all your new stuff, 'specially Red Wine and Regrets ...I watch "Blind Date" and "Fifth Wheel" whenever I'm staying in a motel room (I don't have cable yet). I love the girl who hosts the "Fifth Wheel" show. She's gorgeous and hilarious. Yes, I've read most of the SVH sagas. I need to buy those again. Let's see...there's the one where they go on a biking trip along the California coast and Elizabeth catches Todd holding that rich chick's hand...then there's the one where Elizabeth and Jessica go to France and Jessica sunbathes topless on the French Riviera- oh god, I'll stop now!

Rhet~
"Saved By the Bell"? LOL! Just guessing. I watched an entire marathon once in college. And I don't care what anyone says, I still think "Showgirls" is a good movie. Good in the sense that I enjoy watching it.

Ali~
I'm glad to hear that. Yeah, Bruce was a jerk but those lips...those eyes...that cute little cleft in his chin. Ha! The cover of *Playing With Fire* where he has his arm draped around Jessica is one of my favorites.
Misti- Older bro Steven looks pretty good too y'know. And he comes from such a nice family...Just for the record the Sweet Valley University series was gravely disappointing. Jessica got absolutely ABUSED in those. Right now we are in this VC Andrews revival at work..."Flowers in the Attic" and all. Now THERE is some guilty pleasure admission.

Rhet- How are you affiliated with the University? I do have this "F" that needs erased *hangs head in shame*...hehe...
Violet, that is a good point in some sense. I mean, it's not true that things can't be worse; Mo and both have our health, and a bunch of other stuff, just for starters. But I no longer have this odd little dread that something's gonna come up when she AIMs me...
