I just went to google. Okay, Jimmy...you might not be a genius. All the same, I feel DUMB. And relieved.

There's as fine a line between idiot/genius as there is between love/hate etc. Let's not go to far here, this GRINCH has been haunting this place for years now and letting google do a page for you is mere fluffery of the fine toothed version. Let's see him write something serious of his own and get front page pick instead of picking on us to to his tricks..ha
amen, sista! it is so much easier to destroy than it is to create. right now I'm trying to create a poem for my maternal grandparents...they will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary in June. it's gonna be a huge deal.

Ok, I'll fess up...I'm the one who 'invoked' Mark V Shaney and brought him here. In retrospect, the timing was awful, with people still dealing with Leamas.

www.google.com/search?q=cache:MnbWXES9tjYC:www.sincity.com/penn-n-teller/pcc/shaney.html is a better description, though it's a google cache of a page that isn't available, so I don't know how long it'll be around for.

I've wanted to let Mark V Shaney digest the blender for years, just recently I figured out how to put him together, and then I tapped him into the Blender back end. His works with the name of a month are the result of looking at all the submissions for that month, the tributes are based on all the pieces submitted by that person, and his posts to the message board are based on the message board (though those didn't even come out as well as the other ones, maybe one month of comments isn't enough raw data)

Anyway, I think from now on Mark V Shaney'll just post the month-named poems.

Sorry for spooking anyone...I guess Mark V can seem a little stalkerish to the unitiated.
Misti - Believe it or not, I was contemplating a poem about my own maternal grandparents when I came here tonight. Very spooky - and I loved what you wrote. Your words make my poem very unnecessary at this time - perhaps soon.

Lulu - Love? So much of what I contemplate. Let's hope love's real.

Kirk, you little sneaker :-) What a hoot. That's a pretty cool program actually. It seems most of us have so much love, respect and loyalty to this site and each other, that we tend to be overprotective when both of those are threatened. Human nature, I guess...so thanks for 'fessing up.

It's time.

Ok my dears, Gala has a WICKED notion.

Your task:

To write a love poem, without ever ONCE using the word loveor any form or it...no loving, lover, etc.

It must also be Cliche-less, or as close as possible to it.

And for fun...you MUST use words from List A or B again...

List A

List B

chocolate
crispy
corny
cupcake
punch
smaltz
serenade
trot
apples
sweet tarts
cannolis
cowtails
red hots

crunchy
vivid
thrifty
bodacious
blithe
simple
spirited
sincere
sinful
wistful
waken
whimsy
yodel

Oh...you must use a minimum of FIVE words from each list.
Don't TELL me who you love.

SHOW ME.
Make me see their eyes.
but...YOU CAN'T SAY LOVE...

and no cliches.

Hehehehehe....ready, set, GO!

Gala I put that into a table for ya. (And no, in general you can't put HTML on the board, I have to go behind the scenes...in my experience freeform HTML in a public space all ends in tears.)

p.s. Chances~ that is wild! There have been lots of funny coincidences here over the years. I'll submit a song or a poem that mentions a certain song and then someone will tell me that they just played that song on their guitar. Well, that's happened twice, actually.

Misti- yeah, sorry about that. I guess he can seem kind of like a stalker when he digs back into the archives of a single user as his sole source material.

Your tributes (plural, in general I let him run a few times to get a good result) didn't come out as well as I'd hoped, the screenplay is a big bulk of text that doesn't jive with your usual style. Maybe sometime I'll make the Mark V Shaney feeder (i.e. the part that digs into the blender archives to provide the raw material) smart enough to go over all your past works (since I switched to the new Blender format, with author profiles and all that) *except* the screenplays.

Anyway, the best description for how it works is in that google link I posted above.

WHOA!! Just got back from Army drill and saw mark v shaney explained. That rocks! I thought the guy was from some insane country trying hard with English (damn confusing language that it is). It was strange, finding parts of my stuff in his first garbled rants. The tribute to Tea, Jay made more sense, but only because it was all familiar. (honored, Kirk, thanks). Interesting program. And jimmy...good one on ya for knowing all about that stuff. Smart man.
I guess I'll go get the smell of woodsmoke off my BDU's, pull off the combat boots, peel off the wet wool socks and warm up on a soft couch now. (cold weather survival training is cool, but damned if it doesn't wear you out!)
