LOL at the Robert Palmer submission. Too funny, Chances.
Reminds me of a bizarre karaoke experience I had in '98. I still lurk in the shadows, yes, and I love Jon and Ali's green submissions! Awwwwwesome.

Hey, Misti! Good to hear your voice, so to speak. Yes, I'm lurking too... haven't gone anywhere but I'm only going to post what I think is the better stuff I write now. I think that's what I'm going to do - I'm a woman, so I reserve the right to change my mind. LOL.

kirk~ good grief!! I think folks got more stressed about the Blender going down for a bit than about Saddam and Bush.

Jim~ Thanks so much for that. I find the passion you pour into a romantic piece so poignant. You must love her very much, maybe all you can love someone. Good wishes and fair winds to you and your quest on this one.

Happy Birthday! Max-Rom. I can remember being 22 (and 33, teej, so when's the birthday for you?). Was a fantastic year for me at 22, Max-Rom. I wish the same for you. It is such a treat to see the board in celebration over birthdays or success of any sort.

deeva~ I saved your website to visit often. I've always enjoyed your flair, colors and poems. Yes, I've gone back in archives and read some of your poems lately. I got re-inspired at Blender (in early 1997) to play around with my poetry again. I am so grateful for that. I have to tell you that your paintings have also inspired me to pull the paints out and see if I can control a brush or pen as well as the keyboard now. :) Maybe not, considering all the edits I still need here. I love the colors on "Looking In" enough to ask you about that one maybe existing in series.

B.K.~ Stay well. This weather is still miserable. My Schipperke (Haiku pup) is three on St. Paddy's Day, and he is really asserting himself -- one of us is going to have to find another home IF the weather doesn't improve soon. His "daddy" might decide to go with him, so I'm keeping a lid on the cabin fever frustrations. I am so glad you can write with such happiness and enthusiasm. I get the least bit blue with long separations with medical, and I go read one of your poems to "Darlin'" to get a smile going again. Thanks! ..... Rennie
What a month this has been for writing in the blender. Keep it up EVERYONE, there is an incredible word flow around here lately.

Zero One where are you lately?

Rennie; The boyz, Coz and Boz have been fighting over everything and we haven't seen the sun since the 14th of February. Everything is grey, the news, the weather, my brain is turning to rocky top limestone. Sunshine would help and lack of RAIN as thats all it does. I watered one of my orchids on my windowsil and a million ants crawled out. My son saw some and was going tisk tisk and I told him not to kill any of them as this was my new ant farm and they all had names. That's how crazy it is around here lately.

As for Darlin, he's my guiding star to sunshine right now. Oh how I love that man! (But who could tell.)

Hope things clear up and we can get together soon. Still looking forward to meeting you and Rhett and anyone else that wants to come. Something, like sunshine, to look forward to. Take care Rennie, Spring is on it's way. thank goodness. (With tornado season. ha)
kirk~ Wow! And I thought I had a month where I couldn't type and chew gum at the same time. Thanks for the picks and comments. I've been meaning to tackle Cessair (Irish / March seemed appropriate, considering) for some time because I've enjoyed the stories. Jim also reminded me of how much we get involved in the internet, so I bumped him. I think I spooked him a bit as a new arrival by not explaining a bump to him. Relax, Jim! I've got a "significant tether" (and a poem with that term I've been meaning to post as an out-take from a larger work spun from The Albatross). I have really enjoyed reading the subs and the picks. Blender is evolving and diversifying nicely on love and romance. Again, thanks ... and thanks for the forum.

B.K.~ I tried to take my Schipperke out in the snow and he resembled a cartoon character in holding on to the door to keep me from dragging him outside. I had wolves that loved snowy midnight moonlight tag with a frisbee. He resembles a wolf in minature, but his idea of fun is becoming a living bowling ball against the cabinets here. At least he no longer eyes the couch as a major plush toy. Makes this place sound like a bowling alley some nights when I'm trying to post on Blender. He's in "jail" right now so I can type this :). I believe you can relate from your subs and post here.

Congrats to all for the past month of subs. TV's been a bore. Well, not "Joe" -- who thinks babes are just hot and Zora hot and honest. He has a dazzling smile. Snow's been a pain, and I stressed on news. Reading at Blender has kept me smiling, reflecting, and/or inspired, thanks everyone. Additional congrats to others on the Front Page Digest. I enjoy the picks, but also really enjoy the comments each of you make to others ..... Rennie

Hi all! I was busy and belated last month and didn't get a chance to comment on so many of the great subs, my apologies for my tardiness. Feb was a prolific month -- some new "faces" with a lot of talent and some terrific new pieces from old friends. Here's my $.02 worth:

Quotation: When Harry Met Sally -- Tanq -- you forgot the part about being half-eaten by wild dogs -- oh no, wait, that was Bridget Jones...

Silk Blue Eyes -- BK -- this is short but so vivid, "blue silk eyes" and "woven magic"

PLAY DOUGH -- Champagne -- great metaphor, "don't forget to close the lid so we can do this again tomorrow night" LOL!

Contacts -- Jon -- I'm green with envy over this one, and as usual a nice zing in the last line

closer -- Madison -- I continue in awe of your imagery and your command of metaphor "you chose your words like a full-bodied red" wow!

Karmachismo -- coujeaux -- pithy, pointed, pungent and perfectly put together "Monkey seethe, monkey's due" and "Why should thermonuclear skies interrupt my ascension toward a catbird seat?"

phoenix: tribute of a lover -- dragonfleyes -- took my breath away, like a sight of the mythical bird itself :)

mistake to ache -- Gala -- as usual, girl, you've captured a complex set of emotions in a way no one else can quite manage

singular foolishness -- kevin -- twisty but good, "until we both remembered who we weren't"

New Found Thing -- TJ -- love the expectant mother metaphor, and Trembling On the Vine gave me shivers! (BTW, Zukav is someone I just recently encountered, exerpt from "The Seat of the Soul" is a top-notch quote, thanks for sharing it)

I Promise -- tony -- so glad you've joined the throng here, look forward to seeing more!

Congrats to all the front pagers (Tanq, you're becoming quite the fixture there!) and keep writing, y'all :)

jim~ whew!!! Thanks. Everybody in the foxhole here is fussing at me (whoa, and I thought they didn't read me). They gripe, "You NEVER come on to us like that!" -- go figure. I counter with them only enjoying and understanding the line, "Hey, GI, you number One!" Anyway, was just a compliment/bump thanks for the inspiration. I've enjoyed reading your works quite a bit. I am glad to see you on Front Page.
