Cattie; we like it that you are working thru your emotions and hope you will continue to write for us along love related topics.

As for the SCREAMING MEME's. A one year vacation to an ex-marines wilderness camp ought to fix your need of being whatever it is you are. Get over yourselves. Try reading "Angela's Ashes" and see what weenies you really are compared to their lives. It's a survival of the fittest out there and you put yourselves at the bottom of the rung acting like whiners. Do you realize that every great artist was Depressed and worse and they created some of the finest music and writing and art work ever. They worked their way thru it creating something lasting, something worthwile, something beautiful...not something to make people want to get as far away from them as possible.

Rennie; They pick on you because you have an open mind and are big hearted and take it. Even Kirk lets it slide as long as it's love related. I'm glad it's not my site as I would have deleted their idiot asses a long time ago. Most of this I can let slide as well till it keeps going on and on and it gets truly BORING.

So we've done it now lets try and move on.
I think we are all just speaking our minds and our hearts. I wish however, the language and the personal attacks would stop!
Rennie-I read your words faithfully and I find hidden meaning in each one of your posts. Dont let these who bad mouth you or others change the kind, caring person that you are. Some days I race home from work to just see what is going on and always find it a comfort to see the wonderful things you speak of and share!
Kirk-I do not envy you! I know you are allowing freedom of expression but please don't let anyone destroy the "beauty" you have created! I thank you a million times for the "Board".

CryingShame; re: fantasies & truths revealed , have you tried a google search? I found many good matches for that lyric, though most of them have "The sun was shining brightly" instead of "The forest fires are burning" (which is what happens has folkish songs spread.)

One suggestion; I'm pretty much ok with people posting song lyrics (even if I think they push into very dark grey areas of copyright/fair use) but it would be better if people clipped them, either just show the really good bits, the part that really speaks to you (and to be honest, usually it's just one or two stanzas that really makes a song work) or at least don't put in the chorus over and over...

Kirk - Well, as Rennie will vouch for, I dislike it when bits are missing. I actually told myself when I took Chances as a nom de plume that I wouldn't post lyrics. It's a fallback when I've got a creative block and probably doesn't encourage me to stretch myself, so I'll try to knock it off (no pun intended).

Rhett; I was thinking about what you said about style and substance. We all are different here and that's what I like about the place. I've read that famous poets all had lots of cuts on the same poems (tweaked a lot) and I love this place to bounce the first draft off. If I have to sit and think about it much I usually ruin it. Most of my changes I make in xanga and though I ride Kirk about an edit button here. Actually he saves me a lot of grief haha.
I dunno about "bits are missing". I think songs are structured differently than pure poetry. I think songs are better than pure poetry, actually, so I don't think it hurts to refine them when taking them away from their tunes and posting them here.

Kirk - I think every word's important in a song, including repeats. If you put in CHORUS, REPEAT CHORUS, then it doesn't read very well.
