Kirk ~ The Rumsfeld poetry is very interesting. I was listening to NPR yesterday and I was fascinated by the concept of taking the things Rumsfeld says in his public addresses and finding the poetry in it. Apparently Donald is a natural poet in his speaking. I'm going to look for more of what I heard yesterday.
I know it's called 'Pieces of Intelligence : The Existential Poetry of Donald H Rumsfeld'. Not that Rumsfeld thinks he's a poet, or even tries to be. But Hart Seely saw poetry in his words, and compiled a book. I want that book. LOL!
Beneath the steely intimidating swagger of Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld is the soul of a poet, or so believes humorist Hart Seely.

His collection of Rumsfeld poetics, compiled from news conferences and interviews, tells all we need to know of those in command, such as:

"Needless to Say"
Needless to say,
The president is correct.
Whatever it was he said.

As for consensus building in Washington:
"Man and Wife, Talking at Dawn"

My wife Joyce is here.
Every once in awhile
In the morning
As I get up about5 o'clock
And get ready to takea shower
And head for the office,
She says, "Don, where is he?"
I tell her that
If I want to bring up
Osama bin Laden
I'll wake her up
And bring it up myself.

Is the man talking about Osama or his peckerhead. Poor Joyce.
Tanq - Unfathomable (Repost) was a bump to me, actually. Seems a shame not to have both halves of a set, so since you've posted the bump, I've (re)posted the original...

Interesting. I guess. Too bad Rummy typifies the Banality of the Evil that is the Bush Regime (regime change, anyone?). Things haven't been this bad since the darkest days of Reagan the Moral Majority. But even then we had nothing resembling the quasi-police state that is America in the age of "homeland security". Kinda makes me wonder what's next - "The Lost Verse of Joseph Goebbels"?

Sorry but it's quite unloving and does not support our troops in any way. We can give Dick Cheneys daughter 100 mill but forget the troops. Lets put them on bread and water. They're tough and the expendable poor..sucks big time
