Misti~ I was totally pleased when I sat down in front of Amelie tonight, with my "triple black" malt beverage, white cheddar cheez-its and a fresh issue of JANE and saw your letter to the editor in there! I thought it was nifty that I knew "who you were" Anyway... just thought I'd let you know that I saw it. I haven't been around the blender much lately... but I read your latest blog. Which I liked a lot, except for the part about Jewel. That stung a little, as I am her biggest fan, and find her poems to be sincere and well...damn good. I think you're really talented though, it's bound to reward you eventually. It's funny, because what I like about your poems is your "realness" and that's one of the many reasons I like Jewel too. I'm rambling. Sorry. Keep up the great and entertaining writing.

Violet~
I made JANE? Damn! I've been bitchin' to my husband that I'm not gonna buy JANE anymore 'cause they never publish my letters and I never win their contests! wOw! I said I would not buy the latest issue 'cause Pamela Anderson is on the cover but now I guess I'll have to buy it! Ha!

Um...truth be told? I have Jewel's book of poetry! Some of the poems are pretty damn decent. I especially like the one where the girls have nothing in the fridge but they're young and beautiful and know they will be provided for. That's not an apt description but I haven't read the poem in a long time.

I'm glad you're enjoyin' my blogs! Thanks for reading and for commenting! I wrote a longish poem at work tonight...it's not really romance-related but I'm going to go ahead and submit it because all I can focus on these days is the West Memphis Three. My heart is totally into helping them out, 110%. Henry Rollins is in Europe or Australia with his band, doing a benefit tour for the DNA testing. I've sent two letters to Damien and Jason and one card to Jessie. I'm going to go to Kinko's and get a chapbook of my poetry printed. I'm going to make up flyers with urls on it to hand out at Insomnia. I'm going to sell my chapbooks and read my poems wearing a Free the West Memphis Three tee-shirt. Any money I make will be sent to Damien, Jessie and Jason. I told Chris if those bastards go ahead and kill Damien with lethal injection, I will be there holding a candle. I don't care what happens or how poor I am. I will be there.

White Cheddar Cheezits....yummm. Haven't had those in awhile.
to all that read this...
I recently subscribed to TIME magazine and i received a special edition in the mail...featured is a biography of Ben Franklin...little did I know he did quite well with the ladies...interesting words written about his "love life" and friendships with the opposite sex...anyway, I am recommending (for all who can get your eyes on a copy)the detailed article. Has anyone ever read his autobiography?
i have been told (hope it isn't true, but worth thinking about) that those that irritate, frustrate, etc the most, are the ones that have/show the same flaws that we dislike about ourselves...this information makes my skin crawl, but in some cases for me...it was unfortunately true...
also-my first "true" love's name was/is jimmy...so when i see your screen name, i get all mushy inside...
Jimmy, you need to be subtler in your criticism. I think you coming out swinging does more damage to the feeling on the board than any name dropping or whatever you think is going on with some posters, so back off.
Thanks for posting the article, Article on yet another form of mental illness...CELEBRITY DATING, although being a civilian I can't and will never beable to take the advice given...I am a huge fan of Bruce Willis and if I could change places with anyone for a day...it would have to be Demi...I enjoy reading about celebrities, because of their glitz, glamour and how most grew up with little and made "some" of their dreams come true...I also like to read about surveys and one in particular was interesting recently...The survey asked men and women if they could change their jobs and be any profession for one year, what would it be? The top two for men was (1) a professional sportsman (golfer, football, basketball, tennis, etc), (2) rock/country/r&b etc star. The top two for women was (1) movie star, (2)rock/country/r&b etc star. So for the most part, I agree with your article...
Um, Kirk? Did you read the comment that prompted my (admittedly) nasty retort?

Actually jimmy, I was talking about your "survey question suggestion", which, as for as far as much time I'm willing to spend on this, seemed to be a relatively out of the blue provactive statement.

Out of the blue? Only if you haven't been following this guy's Board terrorism over past year (and longer). Maybe you haven't, and that's certainly your prerogative. But tell me, was *his* response justified? A "good old country ass-whuppin'"?! Look, if someone acts like a cracker, then I'll address 'em as such. And by the way, he's attacked me apopos of *nada* numerous times. But I get your point.

Kirk~ I enjoyed reading the new Digest. The picks were an enjoyable slice of hot summer. Thanks for including the Naked Maggie piece. I especially like the work you've done with the photos. There is another picture I have seen of you and Mo on that same beach that I like of the two of you standing side by side.
Thanks Kirk...I really don't get jimmyallgrownup's reference to name dropping. I guess posting favirte works and such and referencing the author is called "name dropping." And I see that jimmyallgrownup likes to try apply certain names to me which may or may not be correct...so I think we all know by now that this jimmy ain't a guy but really a gal, and one that I know personally (rather than just via the Blender). She always posts some comment or retort whenever I am feeling post-y, maybe to let me know she's here or out of some more obnoxious impulse. Whatever. If it were a valid gripe, I guess it would apply to others like Rennie or Chris or Rhetoric or whomever. Whomever, schmoomever. I like to think I am a generally positive contributor, and those rants "in character" or "in some character" to make a broader point. Older incarnations were a bit more troublesome to our dear Kirk...who remains one of my all time heros for bringing this madness ("Tha Blenda") into my life. In reality, I am simply a little girl with the mind of an elderly shop teacher suffering from a rare palsy. Or wurds to that effect. Any moron can use their 2 X 2 to see that jimmyallgrownup has something VERY specific going on about me, hence the obvious real-life "ex" status we maintain. And several butchers aprons.
Hi-larious! I knew this bar in a little village in Outer Slobovia that was a pestilent breeding ground for all manner of WAY BAD PREDATORS...like a hillbilly version of something out of Caligula (i.e. a hellish Bob Guccione nightmare of a bad film with a cast of ghouls)...hadn't thought about that in a long long while...same place that has an illiterate Doug Henning look-alike/Clinton wannabee for Gubbaner (I bet he's doing some gubbamint employee right now). I caught a virus from that bar once and was diangosed with that phobia long ago...treated successfully by four ozs of "Alaskan Thunderfuck" and a marathon viewing of bad 70's porn. Maybe THAT is why I like Bush so much...

It'd be cool if Trout would design a t-shirt that says that, maybe sell it at some bar in Texas or something...
