Ok so look at the new one. I like that Oscar Wilde's name is on the outside but could you cut it from the inside. It's ok I just don't like it repeated twice. I guees it's just in the way it looks and maybe I'm being too picky ha.
B.K., I know I might be being a bit dense, but I'm still not sure what you're saying. Are you talking about the way the "pretty" linkcode looks? (i.e. the one that includes the title of the work inside the [ [ ] ]) Or the way the "comment on this" link looks on the worksview page? Or the result where it will say
Author, about [ [ link ] ]
after you click on "comment on this", or what?
Ok so look inside of both quotes....at the top it says Oscar Wilde on the second one posted

The first one posted did not have that inside the post. I just like the way the first one looks better and I guess it's too picky.

Oh, so you're talking about the work you posted, not people linking to it...

Yeah, if you put in the author, it shows up in the header and in the links to it. If you leave the author field blank it doesn't show up.

Yep, Thanks Kirk, that looks much better than before. I don't mind it as it's not sticking out like before. Looks great that way.

Kirk, please never feel that you are 'laboring in vain'. The LOVEBLENDER has remained the single most contributing factor to my sanity for a very long time. I NEED this site. I am certain I am speaking not only for myself when I say that all your labor is deeply appreciated. Deeply.

BK and aparajita,
Thanks...I had a great birthday and I'm still celebrating...I received one of the best gifts ever. My mother gave me the book, "Reflections of a Peacemaker", A Portrait Through Heartsongs, by Mattie J.T. Stepanek. The author of this book or poetry is a child who suffered from a neuromuscular disease. I caught a glimpse of him on the Oprah Windrey show, but he passed away....It's truly a magnificent inspirational gift and I recommend for anyone to read it...All take care and have a joyous spring....
Thanks Hairdiva!

People who do medium-small websites like this I think can sometimes feel under-appreciated...well, I guess that's not how I feel in general, I do feel the good feelings people have about this place, but engaging in constructive feedback about changes is a strong push to help me stop coasting...

All the enhancements I make (with the possible exception of closing out the Survey, which seems to have run its course) should add to the site, and add to it in a way consistent with my ideas about small-community building and maintenence. For example I probably should have been clearer earlier on that "Comment on this Work" is actually "Comment on this Work on the Message Board"...I don't think comments languishing on the work's page itself are as useful or group-i-fying as redirecting people to the main page. Most of my other ideas follow similar principles.

Also, I will probably be playing with changing the "look and feel" of the site. Similar themes and colors and what not, but some of the icons might be redone (but in a similar chunky style), and the front page rebalanced so that it's even clearer what this place is about.
kirk-as i see you raking your brain for ways to improve the blender i feel the need to say that because i'm new here that i havent the faintest idea as to how to help. however-as long as you keep the blender up and running i'll be well satisfied..thanks for your dedication and hard work!

Actually "comment on this work" is sufficient anything else would clog the works. And as for the blender with hearts well I wasn't going to say anything but I'm happy you are keeping it in tact. (smile) Anything you do here is appreciated Kirk thanks for all you do always.
