| Misti | This is my first holiday season with Michael, my boyfriend of almost nine months. We are struggling financially and Michael has recently been diagnosed with avascular necrosis, which will require hip replacement surgery. Despite all this, we are very happy to be together and excited about our first Christmas together. We bought a six foot artificial tree at Wal-Mart and decorations from the dollar store. We put the tree up in our furniture-free den and put Michael's toy train from childhood underneath it. Celebrating in the midst of adversity has definitely brought us closer together. We have magic. |
