Tanq ~ Thanks for your comment about Last Road Trip...I think? (I mean, I HOPE you liked the Mellissa Etheridge song my poem reminded you of). And thinking of Melissa Etheridge, she's got some good work out there, though sometimes I find her to be a tad whiney. LOL!!

Anyway, Cowboy, I have always loved your work, ever since I came to the Blender almost 2 years ago (???). Thanks for being one of us long term residents of this Psyco Ward. (Now, now...nobody take offense to that....I take great pride in being psyco, so, coming from me, it's a compliment!)
Blue Song ~ Reading 'Flowers' reminded me of a crazy thought I have each year when the hot pink ice plant is in bloom in CA...
I pass this house on my way to work and the entire front yard blooms thick with it. It comes alive, is on fire with color and I always have this urge to jump out of the car, strip off my clothes and lie naked in it.
But instead of taking a chance on being arrested, I just keep on driving to work :-(
Oh, ahem, back to you...I loved this poem!

Ah then fair Scqueen
in the darkest hour before the dawn
when night holds all in sweetest mist
take thy self in robe'ed form
to this place of erotic destiny
bathe thee then in these flowers of fire
in all thy naked splendor
whilst dreaming of being kissed
by the sun....
umm lol sorry but had ta
thank you for the comment
Blue Song ~ Well, now ther's an idea; however, the flowers close up at night and I'd just be lying on a bed of cold, slimy, green stems :-(

Misti ~ I have to agree with Echolocation. Croix de guerre is excellent.

Echo ~ thanks for the compliment! Why are women so full of Contradictions ? :) (That was a rhetorical question..)

Distant moon ~ Thanks! I came up with the idea when someone else started posting with the same name. Rather than change my name completely, I decided to add a qualifier that meant something.
Deevaa ~ you are so right. Saying things like that makes a man want to visit Home Depot for some gardening equipment.

Hello Verbage Addicts!!

It seems like this site turns and bends taking us to new places all the time. I am enjoying the spurious energy.Arwen ~ Again Rain is beautiful. You have brought a fresh voice – I really look forward to each post…but please more often?
what a waste of a true love
Pepper, Honey is wonderful. Isn’t love melancholy by nature? Maybe I am too skeptical?

Misti ~Croix de guerre is well done, sister.
you house my primal ecstasy
Ooh, yeah…I like that line. Where do you find these writers challenges you are always referring to? Am I missing them?

Galadrial ~
I hate to beat the drum that everyone has already pounded, but I loved Besting Beaulah. I really like when Blenderites change format and give a piece of their life. I once had a very good customer (whom I chatted with nearly daily back in college) with AIDS who talked about BA – before AIDS…my heart sunk when you used that exact reference. I miss his stories and his honest way of looking at things.

Kirk – I was peeping at kisrael.com and saw your pics of Germany. Don’t you love Heidelberg? I spent a couple months there back in ‘97. That is the greatest little German town. While I was there, the city had a celebration and lit the castle up with torches and spotlights – the red walls looked like they were on fire…I watched from a boat on the river… SO AMAZING!
