Hey Chances; First of all Welcome to the Blender and second of all thanks for the comment on Succulent, a true story indeed and very funny when it's told.

Third about titles, shame on you, hahahah. It seems no one has the right to titles (unless copywritten) and it would be hard to corywrite Us as it would be to do that to Love or Heart or Happy Birthday. We don't do it on purpose but we do write the same titles and it's pretty much ok as long as it's not constant and or noticable ha.

Hey Splat; don't envy us the snow. We were in the path of ice and that can be deadly here. Above us about 50 miles got an inch or two of sheer ice and it takes down trees and takes out power. We were quite lucky here that the temp went north and we got more (ick) rain. But the east coast did get it in snowed in. Oh yes, Thanks for the comment on one of my poems back (sorry it took so long I am so far behind in comments)

Glad to see all the newbies here and hope you all will stick around a bit and let us get to know you here and in your words.

I promise I will make some comments soon.
re: title searches. You can search for titles or parts of titles or anything else on the site from the front page of the blender at "Site Search by Google" - bottom of page.

On the hitting the wrong link to add a comment on the "latest survey questions" I'm thinking the most error-free way would be to put an extra icon on that page only, right smack dab (I'm not sure what a smack dab is) next to the "add comment" page so the user could quickly see there were two distinct choices to make as to which area they were about to add a comment to. Otherwise, their eyes still might not find the intended "add to survey" before the mouse took over and grabbed the wrong link. Just a thought.

A small word about poem titles...titles of songs, books, lyrics, poems etc are not subject to copywrite or legal protections...put in the name of a favorite novel sometime, and see how many hits you get...:)

Elocution: your poem is very powerful.

Reading it felt painful. The essence is very deep.
I hope your heart mends quickly. I have never read such pain from you and I enjoy reading all of your work. I hope things get better soon.

Lots of love always.

Congrats ALL! Let me say that I think this is the best digest in a long time. The inclusion of other media such as flash is truly inspired. Oh, and that was a catty little remark, Teej. I realize that in your guns-are-good-and-George-W-is-AWESOME world there's little room for "queers", but, c'mon! Panties?
Rock on, comrades.

Sorry Galadrial, I kind of stepped on your toes. (Dang, that's another feature I've been meaning to get to, to allow access to last month's entries until the new digest is out.) Can you get me the winners? I'll make a winners page and a link from the frontpage...

Gala -- argh, you can have Russell. He was actually born in NZ but you won't see one single kiwi complain when Australia claims him for their own. *shiver* he's a pale, wobbly, arrogant wanker. So there.

*giggle* I'm not that keen on George either, but he's much hotter than Russell. I've kissed Kevin Smith in real life, but he died earlier this year.

Kirk, have you heard that song "I'd rather do it with Madonna?" God that makes me giggle.

Did I mention we brought a house over the weekend? Actually we brought a block of land, the house is should start to be built in early Feb.

sorry jimmy ~ nothing catty there. just acknowledging your survey answer. i thought it was funny. made me laugh. made me want to comment. you know the old saying, "don't get your panties in a wad".... well, don't. in my 'guns-serve-a-purpose/guns-don't-kill-people-people-kill-people and the-prez-has-a-tough-job-that-most-people-could-never-do-but-think-they-could' world there's room for everybody and their opinions too, be they queer or unclear or full of fear, black or white or not just right. i see that you like to impose your suppositions and tack your mild paranoia onto other people telling them it's theirs. please, jimmy, play nice. go write a poem for us. merry ho ho.
at the risk of getting knocked offline again tonight:
Kirk~ thanks so much for the Digest pick. WISE is a bit sweet, but lots of truth. I also enjoyed your piece on your wedding ring. My husband told me what he wanted but never wore the ring I bought him. He was filmed briefly with it under his nose at our wedding. He always said folks could look at him and tell he was "a very married man" when others commented on him not wearing a ring. My ring saved me losing my wedding ring finger when I fell and nearly had it severed on fiberglass at one time.

Jon and Violet~ congrats! on your announcements of engagements and weddings ... nice to see that here. It has been a treat to see Kirk and Mo and Misti and Chris become couples while I have been at Blender.

Dee~ congrats! on the new home.

I am enjoying all the great reads here, just a mite too slow lately. Happy Holidays and stay warm ..... Rennie
