Well this will probably be a stupid question to everyone, but if i don't ask...i will never know...I have read from two different submissions by two different authors "silver tongue"...what exactly is the definition of a "silver tongue?"

I can't speak for whoever else, but I'm refering to someone who speaks so smoothly, eloquently, but may have deception in mind. I didn't realize that someone else used it recently. I promise I'm not trying to steal anyone's glory!!lol Just stuck in a mental block. I remember a song my Mama used to listen to when I was a kid that refered to a man as "a silver tongued devil". Maybe that's where my mind dug it up from. \

Thanks for your information...I have heard the term many times, but never knew if a silver tongue was meaning a character flaw or not...I am assuming it depends on what other adjectives or descriptive words are being used in the read...

His book, Covered Ground, was just released by Iriswhite Publishing last week...and some of the contents are in Poetdude's archive at the Respite...:)

And last but by no means least -- a quiet "thanks" to all who have encouraged personal squabbles to move off the board so the rest of us need not witness them. At the moment there's so much anger in the real world that we can't avoid dealing with; I'm sure many of us feel no inclination to be a spectator to yet more...
