Jon; The film speaks for itself and the facts scream at you. The connect the dots to the Saudis and the awful war for no reason itsel are damning enough and the fact that an uneducated white man in a ball cap (as he calls himself) had to point that out is DISGUSTING that the media is bought a paid for by one view. I dare you to see the movie. It at last is a true vision instead of christopher columbus discovered america smaltz that is fed to us. Of course they are going to come at Michael, he's uprooting a mega billion dollar koo, I bet you'd be mad too. (that is unless you were honest and above board and a True American, not a forked tongue weasel that we have setting in the white house duping us all. What happened to honesty and decency and the American Way. When did it give way to catch me if you can, I'm Jesus himself, and PROVE IT, to be president with every tricky lawyer and bought judge in the book. Somehow it all just makes me want to barf that we had to endure any of this especially from the man that represents all of us in WORLD view. Does it not bother you that we are hated and a laughing stock.
Hi Blenderites!
I just wanted to add my two cents to the political banter of late, then I will join those of you still hiding under the porch, thus avoiding the ensuing backlash no doubt to come from my post.

The Internet is a powerful forum for opinions. We are barraged 24/7 with op ed's from professionals and amateurs who either know or don't know what they're talking about when it comes to the war, government, and George Bush.

From everything I've read over the past years, we have some very informed people writing poetry and posting on the Blender. We also have some very misinformed people who are believing everything they hear, read, view or even write themselves!

My point?
Unless any of us have absolute proof (no, not just Hollywood's version of it) we've all got to take a 'wait and see approach' to this election. The strongest act in support for or against our current administration is to exercise your vote, and encourage others to do so. Become politically active and support the canditates who support your beliefs. Each of you can find mountains of information to support your position, one way or the other.

But last I checked, this was not a political forum, and since there are at least a billion of them on the Internet, might we at least try to channel this energy into something we all are interested in-- LOVE!

I come to the Blender to escape the insanity of the real world, and though I love a heated debate, I'd like to see Kirk maintain some sort of decorum here that at least requires us to talk about something 'romance related.' Loving or hating a President wouldn't necessarily fall under that category, however passionate.

Like everyone else here, that's just my opinion, and since I'm not in charge of what is or isn't appropriate, I'll be porch diving right about now. ;)
HONEY PIE; If you want to lie low under the porch be our guest and skim skim past anything you don't want to see, but this is FAR TOOOOOO IMPORTANT to ever stick your head under the sand about again. That's exactly what I heard a military person say on NPR this morning. I can't say anything without getting myself in trouble so I take it on FAITH.. What a crock of bullshit to kill people with. The same thing with religions telling people to take it on faith and follow their leader....BULLSHIT! Open your eyes, take off the blinders and Quit being lemmings. If you don't have a million dollars in your pocket(and even if you do) you would be fools to vote for the present administration.
Dear B.K.
I respect your passion about your politics, but I'm afraid you've misinterpreted my point.
I am extremely politically active, and outwardly vocal about my political persuasion. I simply choose more appropriate forums than a love poetry site to voice that opinion!
thanks for listening,

So now I've posted them twice.
Rens; Forgive me, but it had to go on the page as well, your writing is timely and eloquent and I know you don't have the time to give us right now with the Capt. on his way. I just want to tell you that your friendship means a lot to me and I hope you will keep in touch while out on your many adventures. My Love to you and the Capt.
