I think that romance is a key to open up barriers...romance can lead to great sex, but to make a relationship last a lifetime there has to be more than love, romance and great sex like those other things I mentioned above and I can't leave out honesty, patience and commitment...<BR>

To paraphrase Tom Robbins...making Love stay is easy..it's lust that flees.<BR>

Sex isn't evertthing but I think it is pretty important. <BR>
And it's often quite a trick getting libidos in line.

i think that if i ever at one point had the inability to have sex for a prolonged period of time, due to illness, whatever, that if my marriage wasn't strong enough to withstand a lack of sex. then what am i married for? if marriage is based solely on attraction, or the sometimes coitus that comes along, then what of the other things that make a marriage? <BR>
<BR>
of course the attraction is what defines friendship and lover, but to be a lover i don't think one has to have sex persay. rather intimacy? i'm writing as i'm thinking here, so pardon the somewhat disjointed lumbering. <BR>
<BR>
yeah, something like that.

I've been with my boyfriend for almost a year. We have had prolonged periods of time without sex. I moved back to Texas temporarily following my divorce. We were apart for two months. Michael had an operation in December and will have another one in May. We have survived poverty and illness together. We have much more going for us than animal attraction and hot sex. We're best friends. Laugh at the same things. We're both intensely creative. We both write. We're both proactive. We don't sit around and wait for people to solve our problems for us. We both celebrate the Day of the Dead and Samhain. We both think Bush should be beheaded. And we want the same things out of life. We're going to move to Austin in a couple of years and rent a house until we can buy one. Michael will play drums and find a band to play with. We'll have at least one kid. Not that I think anyone here is that interested in my relationship, just wanted to defend what I have fought for. There is nothing cheap about my relationship. That's all.

"We both think Bush should be beheaded. And we want the same things out of life."<BR>
<BR>
You also want to be beheaded? The people that Bush is leadign the fight against will gladly oblige you! Why not both move to Iraq or Syria and work in the Peace Corps? <BR>
<BR>
"We both think Bush should be beheaded. And we want the same things out of life." Made my day. Thanks. : )<BR>
<BR>
Oh, by the way - F*CK YOU ABOUT THE BUSH BEHEADING COMMENT<BR>
...when you write that kind of bullshit you become the same sorry piece of shit you are bee-otching about (like Senator KKK Byrd calling another American a f*ckin NAZI). But I guess this is just my oldfashioned Patriotism a talkin. That's also the kinda crap I like to forward to, you know, FBI and gubbamint types 'casue sayign that kinda shit makes you sound sorta fucked up and crazy...<BR>
<BR>
Kirk, I double dog dare you to delete or move this section... Misti brought the "Bush Beheading" comment onto the Board (oddly, as a testacle of her lovvvvvve)<BR>
<BR>
It is now a Blender wide debate pal.<BR>
<BR>
And to Misti... your "talent" is a FLUKE and my proof is the most evil vile thing I have ever read come out of you screwed up head.

If someone of Mark McNabb's caliber thinks my talent is a fluke then I should stop writing. Look at all the brilliant poetry the guy has submitted to the site. If his poems don't point to his genius, his political views certainly do. Yeah, pass it on, Marky Mark...I think the President of the United States of America should have his head cut off. It's the most practical solution I can think of.
