Hi all. As I said a few weeks ago, I haven't been writing much "love" stuff lately. Actually, for two weeks I haven't written much of anything. I've had the worst case of writer's block in my LIFE.

Anywho, I finished a story this morning. I'm experimenting with voice and point of view. It's not very long, and I'd appreciate feedback.

The story is called "Perspectives" and is posted on my blog at http://blog.myspace.com/superedna

Please feel free to check it out.

Thanks!

aparajita, Thank you for the kinds words and hug. This piece is actually a metaphor for a relationship that suddenly and unexpectedly ended. The ironic part is, she is the one who introduced me to this website. And, thanks to everyone by sharing their experiences and feelings, I will hopefully move from this cold darkness back into the warmth of the sunlight. On a personal note, I did just lose a very close relative in much that same way. It's odd how similar and still very different these two events are to each other. Although I've never met any of you, I feel close enough to share with you things I can tell no one else. Thanks again to all.
Cool! Belinda and I just saw Benise here in Albuquerque at the Kiva Auditorium! (Show was "Nights of Fire" - same as the one on PBS). Believe me, I was prepared to hate it. I mean, c'mon, the guy looks a bit like Fabio with a guitar. But we both really enjoyed it - loved it, actually. A very romantic evening... Anyway, your poem really captures the show's essence, I think.

Chris; It was on my public television for one of those telethons for money. I enjoyed it too, the dancing and the music was very sensual. I thought it was a bit too Vegas at times but if it makes money to keep Big Bird afloat I'm all for it. The guy and his band are awesome musicians and I would probably pay to see them here as well. I may buy the cd for myself for Mothers Day. I love the Spanish Gypsy music style with guitar and violin. Glad you and Belinda liked the poem.
