Keeping On
Despite the events of the past month, our need for
human emotional contact continues, and the Blender
of Love carries on. Many excellent
pieces were submitted throughout September, and I
believe that by balancing acknowledgement of our
loss with continuing on as even a keel
as possible we diminish the deeds that the world
has witnessed.
Some fine works grace our front page this month, and
there's other interesting (if somewhat goofy)
news, this month's
feature
is all about the
loveblender.com merchandise
now available for online purchase.
Also, we've started a new
survey question feature-- the first one being "What are your favorite five romantic movies?" (Free, no-catches site membership required to participate.)
PS An odd note about the top quote... Mark Twain's Yankee
was actually not talking about romance but about a fear
of some (gotta be mythical, right?) ogres. The quote
seems more appropriate given the metaphorical but very
non-mythical ogres we now face. But we'll face them together,
and we'll be ok.
