I've had a bit of trouble dealing with that. I insist on love AND friendship in a relationship. Take a hike IF you don't want both. I learned long ago that old lovers can meet again and fall deeply in love again IF that friendship still exists without the possession and future expectations BS. In more than one night stands, I've found men eventually want love and romance in a real relationship as much as any woman could ever dream of now. There is NO relationship with a game player (male or female). That's the hardest one to figure out unless your head's out of the clouds in the beginning, or stuck in the sand in the end ..... As in, they are always right there but somehow somewhere else - you no longer hold that person's soul and that person does not really want what you're offering. It's like you're dead already when they start denying your existence - not outright but in the little ways that hurt and then be extra polite just to cover up. When they start lying to you and acting like you are imagining things when confronted. Like you are an idiot. I guess all this happends when you lose respect for the other person and that person's life and hopes and love and dreams and everything. That way, you kill a piece of them long before they are dead. And also, when the ability to laught about things gone wrong and the tenderness dies, you better start packing anyway. |
